⁂ A rare signed trade edition of the author's second and most famous novel. Llewellyn's narrative of a Welsh mining village was adapted into a 1941 film by John Ford, starring Maureen O'Hara. 'None But the Lonely Heart' was also adapted into a film in 1944, starring Carey Grant.
Paul Jordan Smith (1885-1971), literary editor of the Los Angeles Times and widely regarded as one of the foremost authorities on the 17th century author Robert Burton. He is most well known for originating the hoax art movement Disumbrationism.
