Description

Rackham (Arthur, illustrator) Aesop's Fables, one of 1450 copies signed by the artist, tipped-in colour frontispiece and 12 plates and black and white illustrations by Arthur Rackham, captioned tissue-guards, ink ownership inscription to front free endpaper, plate at p.148 with lower corner lightly creased, browning from brown paper plate-mounts to facing text leaves, generally very light but heavier to limitation f., occasional light offsetting, some very light browning to endpapers and fore-edge, original cloth, gilt, t.e.g., others uncut, spine browned, light soiling, some bumping to corners and light rubbing to extremities, 4to, London & New York, 1912.
