Maugham (William Somerset) Six Stories Written in The First Person Singular, first English edition, signed presentation inscription from the author "For Sybil or Sibyl [Colefax] with the author's, the remiss author's, love W. Somerset Maugham" to front free endpaper with bookplate of Sibyl & Arthur Colefax to foot, slight marginal toning, original cloth, spine a little browned, light rubbing to extremities, [Stott A42a], 8vo, 1931.

⁂ Rare signed. A good association copy, inscribed to Maugham's neighbour, the socialite and interior designer Sibyl Colefax (1874-1950). Maugham here references an earlier misspelling of Colefax's name (see previous lot)
