A fantastic association copy inscribed to English actress Joyce Carey (1898-1993), best known for her long professional and personal relationship with Coward.
'Present Indicative' and 'Future Indefinite' form the first 2 volumes of Coward's three part memoir. The third volume, 'Past Conditional', was never completed. Carey appears frequently throughout 'Future Indefinite', reflecting her central place in Coward's life and circle.
