William Laud, Lord Arch-Bishop of Canterbury, first edition, engraved portrait frontispiece, half-title, title in red and black, Thomas Sprat's copy with his bookplate laid down to title verso, bookplate to front pastedown, a few small marginal holes and tears, some staining and scattered spotting, some ff. lightly toned, contemporary panelled calf, spine gilt in compartments, spine chipped with some loss to ends, joints cracked or cracking, a little worn, [ESTC R511763], for Ri. Chiswell, 1695 § Crowquill (Alfred) Sketches of Pumps, handled by Robert Cruikshank, illustrations by Cruikshank, scattered light foxing and surface soiling, original wrappers, cracking at joints, soiled and stained, D. Bogue, 1846; and 5 others on various subjects, including a rather torn "A Last Appeal to Reason by Adolpf Hitler 1940", v.s. (7)
