Browne, List of Plates f. with short marginal tear, some offsetting, upper hinge cracked but holding, contemporary half calf, short tear to leather to spine foot, rubbed and worn, upper joint starting at foot, Bradbury and Evans, 1853; The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, engraved frontispiece portrait by Finden after Maclise (offset), 39 etched plates by Hablot K. Browne ("Phiz"), a few plates with very small hole or tear to fore-margin, 19th century dark red morocco, spine lettered in gilt, g.e., spine lightly faded, lightly rubbed, Chapman and Hall, 1839, first editions in book form, lacking half-titles, usual foxing and browning to plates, some spotting elsewhere; and others by the same, 8vo & small 8vo (8)
