Dickens (Charles) Oliver Twist, 3 vol., second edition, second issue with titles dated 1839, half-titles, etched frontispieces and 21 plates by George Cruikshank, 4pp. advertisements at end of vol. 1, vol. 1 plate at p.98 torn and repaired, vol. 2 frontispiece with some very short marginal tears and loose, vol. 2 gutter split at p.48 but holding, the odd stain, some browning and foxing to plates, some spotting and soiling elsewhere, some hinges cracked, original blind-stamped cloth, fading to spines, corners bumped, lightly rubbed, [Smith 4.5c, p.36], Richard Bentley, 1839; and others, Dickens in the original cloth, 8vo & 4to (8)
