Fleming (Ian).- Gulyashki (Andrei) Sreshtu 07, first edition, light browning, some adhesion to gutter of front and rear endpapers caused by binding glue, original printed wrappers, tiny chip to spine foot and minute rubbing to extremities, Sofia, Bulgarski Pisatel, 1966.

⁂ First edition copy of this Soviet effort to discredit Fleming's Agent 007. An important milestone in the reception of James Bond within the Soviet Union, this original novel written by Bulgarian Andrei Gulyashki, pits James Bond against the Soviet super-spy Avakoum Zakhov. Significantly, it was one of the first book-length novels depicting the character of James Bond to be published Fleming’s death in 1964, initiating much controversy over copyright.
