Ruskin (John) The Stones of Venice, 3 vol., first edition, vol. 1 with errata slip, 53 plates, some hand-coloured, illustrations, tissue-guards, each vol. with advertisement f. & 16pp. publisher's catalogue at end, vol. 1 with bookplate of Ann Newell Hill, with her ownership name to front endpaper verso and in pencil to other vol. titles, vol. 2 & 3 with bookplate of Charles Robert Rivington, marginal foxing or damp-staining to some plates, some light spotting elsewhere, some hinges cracked and vol. 1 upper hinge quite weak, original decorative cloth, gilt, t.e.g., vol. 1 spine slightly faded, few very small stains, some rubbing to extremities with the odd short tear to spine ends or joints, corners bumped and worn, Smith, Elder and Co., 1851-53; and others by the same, v.s. (8)
