Bartholin (Thomas) De armillis veterum schedion, additional engraved title, folding engraved plate, early ownership name to title, 1676, bound with Bartholin (Caspar) De inauribus veterum syntagma, 1676, bound with Bartholin (Thomas) Antiquitatum veteris puerperii synopsis, 3 folding engraved plates, folding table, 1676, together 3 works in 1 vol., titles with engraved device, woodcut and engraved illustrations, some full-page, some worming, generally small and marginal but sometimes affecting text or image, light browning, contemporary vellum, manuscript title to spine, spine soiled, rubbed, Amsterdam, J. Henrici Wetstenii § Scacchi (Fortunato) Sacrorum elaeochrismatōn myrothecium sacroprophanum, vol. 1 only (of 3), first edition, engraved title printed in red and black, engraved illustrations, small worming to lower-margin throughout (within lower corner of engraved title but no notable loss), some water-staining to head, some spotting and light browning, upper hinge nearly broken but holding, contemporary panelled vellum, spine with manuscript title to head and darkened, worn with small portion of loss to upper cover, Rome, heirs of Bartolomeo Zannetti, 1625; and another, Baudelot de Dairval's l'Utilité des Voyages (1693), v.s. (3)

⁂ The first mentioned a collection of scholarly works by the Danish humanists and physicians Thomas (1616-1680) and Caspar (1655-1738) Bartholinus. Included are treatises on ancient bracelets and childbirth rituals. Appended to the first is a treatise by Ole Worm (1588-1654), on an ancient decorated horn found in Denmark, written in reply to Fortunio Liceti.

The second mentioned is about the religious use of oils and ointments among Greeks and Romans, as well as the Biblical Jews. Two subsequent volumes were published in 1627 & 1637.
