⁂ The first mentioned a collection of scholarly works by the Danish humanists and physicians Thomas (1616-1680) and Caspar (1655-1738) Bartholinus. Included are treatises on ancient bracelets and childbirth rituals. Appended to the first is a treatise by Ole Worm (1588-1654), on an ancient decorated horn found in Denmark, written in reply to Fortunio Liceti.
The second mentioned is about the religious use of oils and ointments among Greeks and Romans, as well as the Biblical Jews. Two subsequent volumes were published in 1627 & 1637.
