Printing history.- Ames (Joseph), William Herbert and Rev. Thomas Frognall Dibdin. Typographical Antiquities; or the History of Printing in England, Scotland and Ireland, 4 vol., half-titles, titles and chapter-headings printed in red and black, list of subscribers, mezzotint portraits, plates and illustrations, bookplate of Horatio Noble Pym, book-label of William Delafield, some offsetting and foxing and light browning, attractive 19th century polished calf, spines gilt and with leather and dark brown morocco labels, g.e., vol. 1 leather spine label with chip to lower corner not affecting text, vol. 4 some fading to upper cover, some spotting and soiling, rubbed with some portions of wear, 4to, 1810-19.
