⁂ Including: a letter from the Duke of Wellington referencing a discussion with Lord Anglesey about organising a portrait of the Duke, a lock of the Duke of Wellington's hair, a small envelope enclosing 2 leaves from Washington's Garden at Mount Vernon, a letter from William Essex, the royal engraver, enclosing a small sketch of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, a letter from William Essex to Robert Napier enclosing the royal envelope embossed with gilt royal initials, and others.
