Sanchez des las Brozas (Francisco) Opera Omnia, una cum ejusdem scriptoris vita auctore Gregorio Maiansio, 4 vol., first edition, title in red and black, woodcut ornaments, later ink ownership inscriptions to endpapers, light damp-stains to end vol. 1, contemporary calf, spines gilt with double morocco label, some light wear and bumping to extremities but still an attractive set, 8vo, Geneva, de Tournes, 1766.

⁂ Sanchez ("El Brocense", 1523-1601), professor of rhetoric and Greek at the university of Salamanca, renowned grammarian, and for his commentaries, editions and translations of Classical writers (e.g., Epictetus, Horace, Virgil, Ovid) as well as Italian humanists (e.g., Poliziano, Alciati).
