Battle of the Bulge.- Patton (Commanding General George S.) Two Carbon Typescript Letters of commendation from George S. Patton Jr. and others to General Weyland thanking him for air support, 4 pages, folds, tape repair to head, a few small closed tears, Headquarters Third United States Army, August 1944 & January 1945.

⁂ "The superior efficiency and cooperation affronted to this Army by the forces under your command is the best example of the combined use of air and ground troops I have ever witnessed".

An interesting documentation from leading figures in the American forces at a crucial moment in the Second World War. George Patton Jr, O.N. Bradley and Hoyt Vandenberg congratulate Weyland and his men for their efforts in the Battle of the Bulge. Weyland passes on this commendation to his men.
