Duppa, first edition, 2 engraved facsimile plates of Johnson's handwriting, advertisement and errata at end, bookplate of Joshua Pim, hinges reinforced with paper, contemporary calf, rebacked, spine gilt in compartments with navy morocco label, printed for Robert Jennings, 1816 § Piozzi (Hester Lynch) Letters to and from the Late Samuel Johnson, LL.D. To which are added, Some Poems never before printed, 2 vol., first edition, ink ownership inscriptions to front endpapers dated 1815 and to titles, vol. 1 front endpaper loosely inserted, contemporary speckled calf, spines with red morocco labels, joints cracking and covers working loose, [ESTC T82906], A.
