Swinburne (Algernon Charles) Undergraduate Papers, No.1 (of three), containing Swinburne's first published work, lacking half-title as issued, scattered foxing, original wrappers, joints a little torn, green morocco drop-back box, spine slightly discoloured, a few surface marks, paper slip-case, browned and a little torn, Oxford, W. Mansell, 8vo, 1857.

⁂ Very rare. Undergraduate Papers was issued in three numbers between December 1857 and April 1858. Complete sets are extremely scarce; the British Library holds only numbers 1 and 2 of the original series, along with a complete set of the 1974 New York facsimile edition. Swinburne's contributions in the first number are 'The Early English Dramatists' and 'Queen Yseult'.
