[early 19 century] § Henry de Bourbon (Prince of Condé, French prince, 1588-1646) Letter signed to Monsieur Seuret, in French, 1p., folio, Bordeaux, 5th May 1638, "Mr. Seuret, I have seen the proposal you sent me concerning the land of Couches. Whereupon I must tell you that the present state of my affairs does not allow me to consider the conditions proposed by the inhabitants", small hole, right edge chipped, folds, browned § Louis Philippe (Prince, Duke of Orléans, Count of Paris, 1838-94) 3 Autograph Letters signed to "Sir", 2 in French and 1 in English, together 5½pp., 8vo, Claremont [Esher] & York House, Twickenham, 26th August & 14th October 1863 & 4th November 1865, "... I hasten to thank you for the courteous article you wrote about my family in the 'Chicago Republican'. Nothing can be more delightful to us there to see our liberal ideas and feelings so much appreciated in your country", folds, browned; and a small quantity of other Continental letters and manuscripts, v.s., v.d. (c. 15 pieces).
