De la thérapeutique empirique et spécifique, 1859 bound with Discours sur l'organicisme, le vitalisme et le psychisme..., 1960; together 7 works in 1 vol., presentation inscription by or on behalf of the author to front free endpaper, occasional water-staining to foot, occasional browning, foxing, 'Biblothéque des Sciences Médicales de Vichy' ink-stamp to first text f., bound in contemporary blue wrappers, spine browned, splitting to upper joint into backstrip, spine ends chipped with loss, ink inscription to upper cover, soiled, edges uncut, 8vo, Paris, 1859-61.

⁂ Piorry is best known for his work in the science of medical percussion, as a method for investigating internal organs.
