Catalogue.- Montfaucon (Bernard de) Bibliotheca Coisliniana, olim Segueriana; sive Manuscriptorum omnium Graecorum..., first edition, text in Latin and Greek, 5 engraved plates, some engraved illustrations, a few full-page, lacking final blank, the odd light stain, some light spotting and browning, worming to endpapers and marginal to final few leaves, front free endpaper torn, contemporary calf, lacking backstrip, very worn, upper cover detached and lower just holding, folio, Paris, Louis Guerin & Charles Robustel, 1715.
⁂ Montfaucon's monumental catalogue of the collection of Greek manuscripts originally formed by Pierre Séguier, and greatly enlarged by his grandson, the duc de Coislin. It was bequeathed by him in 1731 to the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and remained there until 1793, when it was in part destroyed by fire, the remainder being removed to the Bibliothèque Nationale.
