Description

Dobson (Austin, English Poet and Essayist, 1840-1921) Autograph Manuscripts of his poems "Sine me liber ibis in urbem", "For a Blank Page", "An Epistle to a Friend..." and "Au Revoir" together 10pp. on 8ff., signed or initialled and dated by Dobson, all but the first with revisions and deletions, tipped individually into an album with a signed proof of "The Dance of Death" with corrections, mimeographed title and contents ff., original roan-backed cloth, covers detached, lacking majority of backstrip, folio, 1877-1916.

⁂ An excellent group of manuscript poems, including significant revisions. Manuscript poems by Dobson are rare at auction.
