Southwell (Rev. Henry) The New Book of Martyrs, engraved frontispiece and 42 plates, 2pp. list of subscribers bound after title, 2X1 small hole with loss to pagination, 5Q1 tear into text without loss, a few marginal chips or short tears, including to a few plates, tiny wormhole to lower outer corner throughout, a few other wormholes/traces to lower margin towards end but not affecting text, offsetting, some light browning, some staining and light spotting, final leaf creased, contemporary calf, very worn, joints split but holding, for J. Cooke, [c.1785] § [Keith (Robert)] A Large New Catalogue of the Bishops of the several Sees Within the Kingdom of Scotland, first edition, bookplate of Skene Library, light soiling to title, a few wormholes to fore-margin of first half, some very light browning, endpapers browned, contemporary calf, worn, loss to spine ends, Edinburgh, Tho. and Wal. Ruddimans, 1755; and 2 others similar, including "An Alphabetical Account of the Nobility and Gentry" excised from Richard Blome's Britannia, defective but with the coats-of-arms, folio & 4to (4)
