Dickens (Charles) [Christmas Books], 4 vol., comprising The Chimes, engraved frontispiece and additional pictorial title (second state), cloth darkened, backstrip detached with a few small closed tears 1845; The Cricket on the Hearth, fourth state of additional pictorial title, 2pp. ink ownership signature dated 1845, upper cover creased, advertisements at end, 1846; The Battle of Life, additional pictorial title in fourth state, lacking 2pp. advertisements at end, faint ink notes and light surface abrasions on title, hinges reinforced, 1846; The Haunted Man, initial advertisement f., backstrip and upper cover detached, 1848, first editions, illustrations, the odd spot and stain, otherwise generally clean internally, original red cloth, gilt, g.e., spines a little nicked and chipped [Smith 5, 6, 8, 9], 8vo, 1845-48.
