Early Christian apologist.- Tertullianus (Quintus Septimus Florentius) Opera, edited by Beatus Rhenanus, title with woodcut printer's device recto and contents within woodcut pillars verso, woodcut head-pieces and fine criblé historiated initials, final f. blank with woodcut printer's device verso (slightly frayed at edges and with very small marginal hole), title with ownership names of "Will. Waterson" (crossed through) and "Tho. Monkhouse Coll. Reg. Oxon", annotations to title verso and occasional underlining to text, single small wormhole within text from Sig. 2B to end (roughly last quarter), water-stained, mainly near start, some light soiling and browning, bound in full burnt orange morocco by Zaehnsdorf, spine with raised bands and lettered in gilt but darkened, little rubbed and soiled, slip-case, [VD16 T 560], folio, Basel, [heirs of Johann Froben], 1528.
