Paper Construction.- Kerndörffer (Heinrich August) Der Papparbeiter, oder deutliche Anweisung, jede Art von Papparbeit, ohne alle Vorkenntnisse verfertigen zu können, third edition, 9 engraved plates, some light foxing, old ink ownership stamp to title, original pink boards with printed decorative border, old manuscript label to spine, rubbed and soiled, corners bumped, 12mo, Pirna, August Robert Friese, 1829.

⁂ An expanded version, with new illustrations, of Der kleine Papparbeiter oder deutliche Anweisung in Pappe zu arbeiten für Kinder, second edition, 1815. The date of the first edition is unrecorded. Kerndörffer studied philosophy at the university of Leipzig and then taught at the St. Nicholas school. He wrote a number of children’s books, and his work on paper construction is part of his interest in children’s education.
