⁂ E.G. Peacock, the only son of Thomas Love Peacock, was a distinguished rower born between 1821 and 1826. He joined the Indian Navy in May 1841, but resigned his commission in 1844. Subsequently, he held various appointments at India House. He passed away in January 1867.
