European Travel Journal.- From Switzerland to Venice thence Bullogna & Loretto to Rome, manuscript, title and 113pp., contemporary tree calf, rubbed, large wormtrack and small wormhole on upper cover, 8vo, [late 18th century].

⁂ Venice. "church of St Mark; a noble old Gothick building largely ornamented, both within & without with beautiful pictures in mosaick with gold grounds... . In a gallery going into the appartment are the 12 Pictures of the apostle by Tintoret & other Venetian masters, both in a light that prevents their being seen I think I hope the prints, if not drawings of the sea."
