Painted ceiling.- Tardieu (Nicolas-Henri) Assembly of the Gods, after Antoine Coypel's ceiling fresco in the Palais Royal, Paris, four sheets reproducing the central part of the barrel-vaulted ceiling's composition, engravings on thick laid paper, several sheets with watermark of double-headed eagle and countermark of text within an oval, various sizes, largest platemark 525 x 770 mm (20 3/4 x 30 1/4 in), if joined total image approx. 1020 x 1020 mm (40 1/4 x 40 1/4 in), sheets with full margins and deckled edges, some drying creases and other handling creases, even toning, minor surface dirt and browning, marginal nicks and tears, unframed, 1717 (4)

⁂ Another impression with sheets conjoined into two halves is held in the Dallas Museum of Art (acc. no. 1951.73.1).
