Anscombe, errata slip, newspaper cutting tipped-in at first free endpaper, some pencil marginalia, original cloth, head and foot lightly rubbed, dust-jacket, lightly faded, spine slightly toned, small loss to head, one or two small spots, extremities lightly creased and nicked, 8vo, 1953.

⁂ Wittgenstein's highly influential second book, published posthumously. Rejecting his own in the Tractatus, Wittgenstein here presents a new philosophy of language - arguing that conceptual confusion about language is at the root of most philosophical problems. Highly influential, this work spawned an entire school of philosophical linguists.
