Greene (Graham) Brighton Rock, first edition, "advance complimentary copy" stamp to lower edge, browning to pastedowns and endpapers, original cloth, spine fractionally faded, edges lightly toned and spotted, very small spot to foot, spine ends lightly bumped, dust-jacket, lower panel with a few surface marks, spine toned, a few minor losses at lower panel joint, extremities a little chipped and creased, [Wobbe A13b], 8vo, New York, 1938.

⁂ The true first edition, published a month before the first English edition, of Greene's classic gangster novel, scarce in dust-jacket.
