Rand (Ayn).- Branden (Nathaniel) Who is Ayn Rand, third impression, signed presentation copy from the author "To John Kleiva - Cordially - Nathaniel Branden Aug 5/67" and ownership signature of John ?Kleiva to title to first free endpaper, original cloth, spine ends lightly bumped, dust-jacket, upper flap price-clipped, small tape repair to verso head of spine, a small closed tear to head of spine, lightly creased and nicked at joints, 8vo, 1962.

⁂ Nathaniel Branden (1930-2014), a Canadian-American psychotherapist known as a former associate and romantic partner of Ayn Rand, Branden also played an important role in the 1960s in promoting Rand's philosophy, Objectivism. Rand and Branden split in 1968, after which Branden focused on developing his own psychological theories and modes of therapy.
