Fielding (Henry) Miscellanies, 3 vol., second edition, some abrasion to pastedowns where bookplate removed, occasional light soiling, some marginal browning to first and last few leaves and light browning elsewhere, contemporary sprinkled calf, spines gilt and with red morocco labels, few very small chips to spine ends, rubbed with some wear to joints and corners, some splitting to joints but covers holding firm, [ESTC N11111], for A. Millar, 1743 § Johnson (Samuel) The Works...with an Essay on his Life and Genius, by Arthur Murphy, 12 vol., new edition, engraved portrait frontispiece, pencil ownership name "C.H. Wright" to front free endpapers (with later letter loosely inserted identifying this as probably Sir Charles Hagberg Wright, Secretary and Librarian of the London Library), scattered foxing, browning, generally light but occasionally heavier, contemporary marbled calf, spines gilt and with green morocco labels (a couple with small chips), few labels renewed or other small and neat repairs, few shallow chips to head of spines, rubbed, vol. 1 upper joint split, some others starting but all holding, 1806, 8vo (15)

⁂ The first mentioned, although advertised as the 'second edition', is a re-issue of the first edition sheets, with new title-pages and the subscribers’ list removed.
