⁂ The first mentioned the first edition from the original nineteen parts. As in the Rothschild copy, this copy includes three numbers of The Inspector: Containing A concise and impartial Collection of News bound at the end following the second volume. Johnson contributed "The Life of Dr. Francis Cheynel" which appears in volume two. Other known contributors are Thomas Warton and Bonnell Thornton.
