Hardinge-Tyler June 1900" to front free endpapers, vol. 2 title inner-margin with small paper-flaw, vol. 2 [2]C3 small rust-hole affecting couple letters, vol. 1 some very small worming to foot of gutter, generally single wormhole but larger traces to Sig. G & H, some browning and light spotting, 19th century cloth-backed boards, spines lettered in gilt, spines very slightly faded, rubbed and worn at extremities, 8vo, Geneva, no printer, 1782.

⁂ The first edition of the first six books of Rousseau's Confessions, the final six books appearing seven years later in a collected edition of his works.
