Whittingham for for Longman, Hurst, Rees, and Orme, 1806.
⁂ Scarce. Includes 'The negro to his wife', which is the tale of a man who married an English woman and was later captured to be sold as a slave. He commits suicide on the voyage, and the poem is his farewell 'letter' to his wife.
Provenance: 'Lyman H. Warren, Augusta' (ink inscription to head of title); 'Elizabeth', who had gifted the volume (her annotations, some signed).
