Garden history.- Repton (Humphry) Circle of. Landscape with oak trees from an as yet unidentified estate, watercolour over black chalk, on laid paper without watermark, inscribed in ink verso 'Sept. 26. 1794/ Lodge-Valley', with additional pencil notes verso discussing the specifics of the trees in detail, sheet 240 x 340 mm (9 1/2 x 13 1/4 in), minor surface dirt and rubbing, unframed, 1794; together with five other landscape studies by various hands, including a landscape near Dolmelynllyn by Edmund Becker (fl.1780s-c.1820), an unidentified study in [?]France inscribed 'Artois', 3 studies of Bath and its environs, and with a mixed group or watercolours and other ephemera, circa 1830, from The Spriggs Family, including several prints and drawings in marbled wrappers inscribed 'Rachel Arch No.1 Landscapes', watercolours, pen and inks, various sizes between 120 x 170 mm (4 3/4 x 6 3/4 in) and 240 x 280 mm (9 1/2 x 11 in), framed, 19th century (Sm. qty.)
