Rodker (John) The Future of Futurism, signed presentation copy by the author, a little faint spotting, top edge lightly soiled, [1927] § Douglas (Norman) Birds and Beasts of the Greek Anthology, one of 500 copies signed by the author, bookplate to front pastedown, uncut, spine slightly sunned, head of spine and corners lightly rubbed, jacket with a few tears and small losses, spine sunned, [Florence], privately printed, 1927, first editions, original boards, jackets quite rubbed at extremities; and 38 others, mostly 20th century literature and pamphlets, v.s. (40).

⁂ The first being a collection of poetry by the modernist poet and publisher John Rodker (1894-1955), one of the "Whitechapel Boys" along with David Bomberg, Mark Gertler and Isaac Rosenberg. A signed presentation copy to Michel Salaman: "To Michel Salaman, with John Rodker's kind regards, Aug 1927", artist and teacher, best remembered for his friendship with Augustus and Gwen John.
