Dickens (Charles) The Works, 80 vol., 'National Edition', extra-illustrated with Autograph Letter signed by Dickens to his manager George Dolby tipped in to front of vol.1, titles printed in red and black, plates in two states (before and after lettering) by Cruikshank, Leech and others, hand-coloured plates after Kyd, numerous other plates and facsimile wrappers after the original parts, tissue-guards, some light offsetting, contemporary crushed blue morocco, spines darkened, some joints cracked (a few working loose), vol.1 upper cover detached, vol.45 lower cover detached and backstrip working loose, extremities rubbed, 8vo, 1906-08.
