Italy.- Verona.- [Maffei (Scipione)] Verona Illustrata, 4 parts in 1 vol., first edition, half-title to part 1, title to each part in red and black with engraved allegorical vignette (red ink slightly offset to facing leaf), numerous engraved illustrations, woodcut head- and tail-pieces and woodcut and engraved initials, part 2 A2 misbound after B2, bookplate of St. Benedict's Abbey of Fort-Augustus, occasional light soiling or very light browning, still overall a good and crisp copy, contemporary mottled calf, spine gilt in compartments and with morocco label, lower corners bumped and worn, little rubbed, upper joint cracked but holding firm, folio, Verona, Jacopo Vallarsi and Pierantonio Berno, 1731-32.
