Africa.- Shaw (Thomas) Travels, or Observations relating to several parts of Barbary and the Levant, second edition, engraved head-pieces by Gravelot and initials, 14 engraved maps & plans, 8 folding (one torn and repaired), 24 engraved plates, 3 folding, occasional foxing and light offsetting but generally a good clean copy, slight worming to lower outer corner of first few leaves, later ink inscription "T.W.Evans 1840" to front pastedown and with his armorial bookplate, contemporary half calf, rubbed, corners a little worn, rebacked, [cf.Blackmer 1533, first edition], 4to, A.Millar & W.Sandby, 1757.
