Asia.- Carruthers (Douglas) Unknown Mongolia: A Record of Travel and Exploration in North-West Mongolia and Dzungaria, 2 vol., first edition, half-titles, frontispieces and plates (some folding), 6 maps (4 folding), occasional light spotting (mostly marginal), original cloth, a little rubbed, slight bumping to corners and extremities, 8vo, 1913.

⁂ The aim of Carruthers' expedition was to explore the sources of the River Yenisei, one of the largest rivers in Asia. It covered over 5000 miles, with this account not only being of geographical importance but also containing descriptions of the last indigenous tribes of southern Siberia.
