Senhouse, 1p. with conjugal blank and address panel, Craig's Court, 2 December 1826, a polite request as to whether Sir John is able to come up with the sum of £1100 required to purchase a Lieutenancy in the 8th Foot for his son, some light spotting and browning; and others related to Roger Senhouse and family, v.s., (5 pieces).
⁂ Roger Senhouse (1899-70) was a peripheral member of the Bloomsbury Group, and Lytton Strachey's lover. In the 1930s he was a co-owner of the publishing house which became Secker & Warburg.
