The Marine Mammals of the North-Western Coast of North America, first edition, 26 lithographed plates by Britton & Rey only (of 27, lacking plate 20 but provided in facsimile), 6 double-page, plate 22 in duplicate (one tipped-in at end), illustrations (some full-page), ink inscription to front free endpapers, tissue-guards creased and torn, spotting, original cloth, gilt, small tear to spine head, corners rubbed and bumped, San Francisco, 1874 § Oudemans (A.C) The Great Sea-Serpent. An Historical and Critical Treatise, first edition, illustrations (some full-page), ink inscription 'For Review' to title, some occasional pencil marginalia, upper hinge cracked and a little loose, spotting largely to half-title and title, original cloth, gilt, mottled staining to upper cover fore-edge, spine faded and rubbed, corners rubbed and bumped, London & Leiden, 1892; and two others on zoology, 19th century, 4to & 8vo (4)
