Pauli Apostoli ex diversis opusculis sancti Augustini excerpta, et in unum corpus collecta, half-title, title printed in red and black and with engraved device, woodcut head and tail-pieces and decorative initials, a4 blank, water-stained, some spotting or mostly light foxing, some light browning, contemporary calf, rebacked, preserving original gilt backstrip in compartments (gilt dulled), corners restored, a few wormholes, crackled, folio, Paris, Georges Josse, 1649.

⁂ Rare (?only Parisian) edition of Bede's commentary on excerpts from St. Augustine and the letters of Paul.

Provenance: Chartreuse de Beaune (large engraved armorial bookplate to front pastedown).
