19 century poet.- Skurray (Rev Francis, author and art collector, Rector of Horningsham, Wiltshire, 1774-1848) Bidcombe Hill a Rural and descriptive Poem [& other poems], autograph manuscript drafts signed of both first and second editions, c. 240pp., numerous corrections and crossings out, reverse entries, ALs from Skurray enclosing an unpublished poem: "The Waterlily" loosely inserted, original half morocco, gilt spine, slightly rubbed, 2 small holes, sm. 4to (210 x 177mm.), [c. 1808 & later].

⁂ Inscription on one title reads: "Received from the Revd: Fras: Skurray on account seventeen pounds. John Hart."

Horningsham, Wiltshire, on the border with Somerset, 4 miles southwest of Warminster.
