Lodge (David) "Hotel des Boobs" short story Autograph Manuscript signed, in blue and black ink, 12pp. recto only with occasional notes to verso, numerous corrections, alterations and excisions by the author with additional leaf at start with an abandoned opening of the work, [1986]; with 12pp. typescript headed "1st typescript" in the author's hand, signed by him at foot with several corrections by the author in pencil and ink and a signed "Final typescript" all loosely inserted in black folder, with issues of Cosmopolitan, Cosmopolitan Summer Reading and The Penguin Book of Modern British Short Stories, all containing the present work, v.s. (5)

⁂ A complete Lodge manuscript story along with the first and final drafts. Lodge manuscripts are rare at auction, the majority of his literary papers are held by the University of Birmingham.
