Description

Ravilious (Eric).- Richards (J.M.) High Street, first edition, wood-engraved title vignette and 24 colour lithograph plates by Eric Ravilious, some light spotting to text and fore-edges but plates unaffected, original pictorial boards, very slightly cocked, very faint mottling to upper outer corner of front cover, slight rubbing and small bump to edges, with the scarce transparent dust-jacket with paper flaps (price-clipped, a little torn and frayed with slight loss), 8vo, Curwen Press for Country Life Ltd., 1938.

⁂ A notoriously fragile book, one of the best examples of Ravilious's experimentations with colour lithography produced for the Curwen Press.
