Wales.- Giraldus Cambrensis. The Itinerary of Archbishop Baldwin through Wales A.D. MCLXXXVIII, 2 vol., first edition in English, translated and edited by Sir Richard Colt Hoare, 55 engraved plates and plans, 5 engraved maps hand-coloured or partly so, of which 2 folding (one large at end of vol. 2 with repaired tear slightly affecting image), few plates with slight marginal fraying or short marginal tears repaired (once into imprint but no loss), occasional soiling, some foxing to plates and light offsetting, 19th century purple half calf over marbled boards, spines gilt and with red and green morocco labels, fading to spines, some wear and few tears to leather at joints and extremities, little rubbed elsewhere, 1806; and an incomplete copy of Felltham's Resolues a duple century, sixth edition (1636), 4to & 8vo (3)
