Reliquary.- Reliquary of 4 Italian Saints, being Saints Francis of Asissi, Andrew Avellino (Patron of Naples and Sicily), Mary Magdalene de Pazzi and Blessed Pope Benedict XI, with small manuscript labels and set down on red fabric with decorative paper surround, contained within a glass-fronted metal oval case, in two parts these together sealed with parchment, thread and Archbishop's red wax seal (unbroken), and accompanied by document of authenticity issued by Archbishop Vittorio Maria Baldassare of Turin, in Latin on paper, printed text within border surmounted by episcopal arms, manuscript additions and signatures in ink, and also stamped in blind with episcopal arms, folds, worn through at a few fold corners, some faint browning and spotting, small manuscript notes to verso, Turin, 1785.
⁂ A small personal reliquary of 4 Italian saints from the 12th - 17th centuries: all relics of the second degree, being described as either 'ex vestis', 'ex habitu' or similar (that is fabric fragments of habits belonging to these saints).
