Bellarmino (Roberto) De controversiis Christianae fidei adversus huius temporis hæreticos, 3 vol., titles in red and black with engraved vignette, woodcut initials and decorations, text ruled in double columns, ink inscription to front endpapers and title dated 1769, occasional annotations, marginal and corner tears with neat repairs, spotting and staining, browning, marginal worming, manuscript notes on vol. 2 endpapers and rear pastedown, last f. vol. 3 holed, contemporary vellum with tape repairs, vol. 1 upper cover detached, others loose, worn, [Adams B498], folio, Lyon, vol. 1 and 2 Claudium Michaelem, vol. 3 Joannem Pillehotte, 1590-96.
