Scotland.- Burt (Edward) Letters from A Gentleman in the North of Scotland to His Friend in London, 2 vol., first edition, engraved plan frontispiece and 8 plates, woodcut head- & tail-pieces and initials, ink ownership name or embossed ownership stamp to front free endpapers, frontispiece very slightly frayed at fore-edge (not affecting image), some spotting and offsetting, handsomely bound in later polished tree calf, gilt, spines richly gilt and with red and green morocco labels, some very slight rubbing to extremities, vol. 1 upper joint just starting at foot, 8vo, for S. Birt, 1754.
